Nicki Minaj has released the latest video from her Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded album ‘Right By My Side’ ft Chris Brown. The video features none other than Nas who play’s Minaj’s love interest. The track has already been a hit among radio stations, and with Nas being the leading man, the success of it is sure to continue.

In other news Nas has been revealed as the 1Xtra headline act for Radio 1’s Hackney Weekend which kicks off on the 23^rd June at Hackney Marshes.

The rapper will join the likes of Jay Z, Azealia Banks, Rihanna, Santigold and many more that will perform at the free event, in celebration of the Jubilee and 2012 Olympics.

Although his album is less than two months away, Chris Brown dropped a couple of freestyles for his fans while they wait. One that caused particular interest was Kanye West’s ‘Way Too Cold’ track (previously called ‘TheraFlu’), which the ‘Fame’ performer had allegedly’ dissed Rihanna on.

The lyrics read;

Don’t f**k with my old bitch it’s like a bad fur/ Every industry n***a done had her/ Shook the tree like a pumpkin just to smash her/ Bitch is breaking codes, but I’m the password.

Hours after the release of the track, Rihanna unfollowed Brown on Twitter and in return Brown done the same. Minutes later, he then posted;

Assumptions! I didn’t say any names so if u took offence to it then it’s something you feel guilty about.

In other news, Chris Brown can now add toy designer and artist to his resume as he recently showcased some of his work to the public.

The Grammy winning singer displayed his work at the Toy Art Gallery in LA, which featured some collectable toys and sculptures that he worked alongside artist Ron English with. Proceeds of his work will be going towards funding for arts programs dedicated to women and the artistic development of children.

The countdown has now begun, as Nas announced via Twitter, that his next studio album Life is Good is to be released on July 17. Making sure he didn’t give too much away, Nas’ latest interview with MTV revealed that there will be some unexpected collaborations, stating how he did not want to work with alot of people on the album.

The New York rapper said;

“This album of course, it’s been a long time, it’s been five years since I released a [solo] studio album, so this record is everything. This is everything that I’ve got to say — I guess you’ve got to live a little and you put that in your music, so it’s coming from my life.”

Usually one to shun the cameras on his private life, Nas recently featured on VH1’s ‘Behind the Music’ where he opened up about the death of his mother, feud with Jay Z and highly publicised divorce from Kelis. The MC commented ;

“It was tough.I didn’t want to do “Behind The Music. I didn’t. But at some point, if you don’t tell your story, somebody else will. So I gave them a little peek inside. It can’t hurt, just a little peek inside.”

The first single from the album, ‘The Don’ has already succeeded expectations, with it being named an ‘anthem for the ages’. The reggae infused track produced by the Da Internz, Salaam Remi and the late Heavy D dropped this week.

At the same time Nas has premiered ‘Daughters’; an ode to fatherhood that hasn’t been well received by the mother of the child, Carmen Bryan. After the song was released Bryan took to Twitter saying she was disappointed and felt his depiction of their daughter Destiny, was false. Nas and his camp have yet to respond, and instead a simple tweet from the rapper read ‘I love my Princess Destiny Jones’

Beyonce has had her first interview since the birth of her child ‘Blue Ivy’ with People Magazine and they have named her the most beautiful women in the world fro 2012.

A squel to sin city is finally n the works. The highly anticipated sequel currently titled Sin City: A Dame To Kill For, is set to see a comeback from Rosario Dawson and Mickey Rourke, who both appeared in the first Sin City film.

The first feature included a star studded line-up including Elijah Wood, Jessica Alba and the late Brittany Murphy – the new film has a few members of the previous cast.

Rumours about Angelina Jolie being added to the final casting are yet to be confirmed.
