With her Loud tour coming to an end, and the release of her new album hitting the shelves, you would expect Rihanna to be taking a well deserved break; so the news of her partnership with Emporio Armani come as a surprise and excitement to her fans.
Already the face of their jean and underwear campaign, the ‘We Found Love’ singer will be teaming up with Armani to design a capsule collection that will embody Rihanna and her fearless attitude. She has recently been quoted in an interview stating that she doesn’t want to become a caricature of herself and known only for her sexy outfits and performance, so these designs will be more laid back and less risqué.
From tee’s to denim, and no doubt leather, she will add her own touch to the clothes including her R logo and famous face shot from her Loud album cover, which without the star’s affiliation, has already been successful in high street stores.
The star joins a long list of celebrities such as Jay Z, Kanye West and Jennifer Lopez who have also worked with fashion giants in the past and have successful labels in their names.
Teaming up with the iconic Italian fashion house and having them as an adviser will not only benefit Rihanna, but also develop the brand even bigger than it is, by appealing to a different genre, making it a more than profitable relationship for the two parties.
The collection is set to hit stores in December
